Ready or not.....

Ready or not, the third and final addition to the Brown family will be here March 6. Or before.

Yes, I said March 6.  I'll try to make a long story short.

This little peanut was not exactly planned.  In fact, when I told Chris that I was pregnant, I said, "Remember how we were talking about maybe having another one?  We don't have to talk anymore."

Since this wasn't planned, and we were taking preventative measures, I wasn't exactly paying attention to things I should be paying attention to.  When I wen to the doctor we tried to nail down a due date.  Based on some guessing on my part, we ended up with March 23.  When we had the ultrasound in October, measurements indicated a due date of March 11.

Doctor Grant said he usually only changes due dates if the ultrasound is 14 days different.  So we didn't change.

But I kept measuring big.

Last Monday Dr. said, "You are still measuring big."

"That's wny I'm leaning more towards the 11th than the 23rd," I said.

"The 23rd was really kind of a guess wasn't it?"  he answered.

He went out in the hall to call the surgeon's office to put me on the schedule without saying another word.  I overhead him change my due date and schedule my c-section for March 6 while he was on the phone.

I went in expecting to get an appointment for a consult with the surgeon and ended up with a scheduled c-section.

So ready or not, we now have 16 days until we become 5, and I have LOTS to do!
