Christmas Post 1

I promised shorter posts with pictures, and I'm trying to deliver.  Our December madness continued.  We had a snow day on Thursday (the 20th), which pushed one day of semester tests to after break.  This only effected me, but it does make things interesting. We were all 4 home for the whole day, as Daddy wasn't feeling up to par.  We used this day to make some Christmas goodies.  Kaden had a friend come over and we made sugar cookie cut outs.  Speaking of baking, this isn't from Thursday, but this is how I have to bake now.  I have 2 helpers!

Friday morning, Kaden woke up with a fever.  Luckily, with the help of Chris and Whitney, I was able to make it to school for testing after I took Kaden to the doctor.  Doctor didn't test for influenza, but eliminated the other common culprits.  He said if it isn't ears or throat, it's influenza.  YAY!  It kicked Kaden's butt!  He had a fever for a little over 2 days, but felt horrible for 6.  Connor got a mild version of it too, but luckily we were able to kick the fever in time to still celebrate Christmas with a revised schedule.  I'll get to that later though.

I'll leave you with a few random Christmas season pics.

Helping Daddy make peanut clusters after baths and before bed.

I built them a nest on the couch to watch a movie on one of the influenza days. It didn't last long, but at least they let me take the picture.

I didn't get any pictures of Kaden decorating cookies.  He still wasn't feeling well and only did 2 or 3 cookies.  This kid, however, liked to sprinkle. He also kept adding frosting and sprinkles to one cookie and eating it.

I actually got a decent picture of these two this Christmas.  After we got ready for church and were waiting for Daddy we had a little photo session.  I decided to try early in the day while we were still happy.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  I'll update about our Christmas travels and treasures soon.
