2 Months!

Connor was 2 months old yesterday. We went to his doctor appointment and he got 3 shots. Kaden and I went and got ice cream after that. :) He can't have ice cream yet, so we figured we'd have it for him to make him feel better.

Connor is on track with everything that he is supposed to be doing at 2 months. He can lift his head a little when he has tummy time. We'll have to keep working on this. It is hard to have a lot of tummy time with all his spitting up. He started smiling the week I went back to school. I love his smiles :) He is also starting to "talk" to us. He's doesn't do it a lot yet, but he's working on it. He weighed 15 pounds 3 ounces. He was 25 1/2 inches long. He gained three pounds and 2 full inches since May 3rd.

Other things about Connor:
* He slept stretches of 6 to 7 hours this weekend at Nana's house. It was nice. Last night he slept from 11 to 7. It was awesome :)

*So far his training to become a lake/boat baby is going very well. When we put the dock in on May 15, he slept in the carseat with a blanket over his seat so that Mommy could help. On Monday, he snoozed in his carseat at the beach for several hours. Last night he napped quietly while we cleaned the outside of the boat, and today he cooperated once again while Kaden and I cleaned the inside. At one point he got a little fussy sitting the carseat, so we laid him down on a blanket on the floor of the boat and he got happier. So far, so good.

*We were waiting for Daddy to get off the phone tonight and I was sitting next to Connor and talking to him. Kaden walked up, and Connor saw him and gave him the biggest smile.

*We traveled a lot in Connor's second month. The first weekend in May we went to Omaha for the girls' 2nd birthday. We also went to the zoo on Sunday. The next weekend Kaden and Connor stayed in Rockwell City on Friday night and then we went to Okoboji to put the dock in and get boats out of storage. The third weekend we went to Whitney's graduation in Rockwell City. Finally, Memorial Day weekend was even more travel. We went to Rockwell City Saturday so we could golf, and then we went to Okoboji that night for the rest of the weekend.

*Connor spent 2 weeks at Kathi's while I went back to work. He did very well. We'll go visit this summer so he isn't scared of her in August when he goes back.

That's about it for this month. Hopefully his new habit of sleeping 7-8 hours sticks. We are on summer vacation now, so there will be lots of new experiences coming up :)

Kaden update coming soon....
