Rose Colored Glasses

I've been thinking about this post for awhile. I was getting kind of stressed out the last couple of weeks with all the things I've needed to get done. Instead of the "My life sucks" mentality, I'm looking at the world through rose colored glasses.

1. Instead of complaining about having to go back to work (I've been back 4 times already and go back for good on Monday), I'm thankful that I have a job to go back to. I'm not complaining that things didn't go well with my sub. I'm taking this to mean that I do a good job and that is the reason my students miss me. (And they do miss me. I feel like a celebrity when I go back)

2. Instead of complaining about feeling like a feeding machine because Connor wants to eat so often, I'm thankful that I am able to breastfeed and that Connor is a good eater and gaining weight.

3. Instead of complaining about all the work I had to do at the last minute for professional development last week, I'm thankful that I was able to get 3 grad credits without having to spend a lot of time away from my family. We did most of the work during professional development times, so I wasn't away from them.

4. Instead of complaining that there are toys ALL OVER my house, I'm thankful that my almost 4 year old will entertain himself for long periods of time with his toys. I'm thankful that he has an AMAZING imagination and that I get to listen to him play. I'm amazed at the things he comes up with. I'm also thankful that he sometimes asks me to play too.

Besides, who can complain anyway when I have this:
