I'm taking advantage of snow day to give a little update. It's snowing and blowing here.....again. I'm ready for summer!
We started last week with the flu. Kaden got sick Sunday night. Chris had made chicken noodle soup and invited some friends over after bowling. Just as they walked in the door Kaden threw up. Hopefully Karla and Brandon avoided getting sick.
We split duty Monday staying home. It was just a work day at school- but missing over half of it had me a little stressed out. I got my grades submitted 2 hours before they were due on Tuesday. I work better under pressure ;)
Tuesday Kaden went back to Kathi's. He hadn't been there since December, so that was fun for him. Daddy and Kaden got lots of quality time together this week. I had games Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning.
Friday afternoon I had to pick Kaden up from Kathi's about 2:00. He came down with the flu that everyone else at daycare had over Christmas break. We've been fighting that ever since. It isn't fun. Hopefully we can go back to Kathi's tomorrow.
Whitney came up last night to stay with Kaden today so I could go to work. Now she's snowed in. It's kind of fun. We've a good day. I'll try to get some more pictures up soon. Wasn't a good picture week this week with the flu and all.
In other news- The fire department is having a dance on February 21st at the Alta Community Building. Should be a good time. I'll be missing it to partake in the annual reunion of friends in Rockwell City. I told Chris and Bubba I would do the leg work beforehand but I'm not going to miss seeing the friends I only see once a year.
I'm contemplating playing in the BV alumni game this year. I'm not even close to in shape for it, but it could still be fun.
Kaden learned a new word last Saturday night. We were out to eat at Plaza Mexico and Chris ordered another beer. Kaden started saying "beer". It is really kind of cute....in a redneck sort of way. Then, when the waiter brought the food Kaden said "thank you" and he wasn't even eating (he already had at home). When the waiter came the last time to ask if we needed anything else Kaden promptly answered "Beer". He is definitely his father's son!
