Things Kaden does.....continued

Life has definitely been crazy since I last posted. Kaden fought the stomach flu for like 2 weeks. It would come and go and it was NO FUN. We spent four days home from the babysitter in all but we are finally over that bump in the road. Last Saturday Kaden got his appetite back. He ate more Saturday between 8 and 1 than he had eaten all week before.


Last weekend my family came to stay (minus Shelby.........we missed her!). Alta was supposed to play Rockwell City Lytton in a basketball game Saturday night. The plan was to all go to the game and then they would stay at our house. Dad and Chris were bowling in a tournament the next day so it was good timing for all of this. They ended up cancelling the game because of bad roads, but they still came to visit! We went out to eat at Boz Wellz and then came back to the house to play Cranium. I played this game a lot with my roommates in college, and I love it. Playing it the other night reminded me how much fun it was. Sunday I went to the movie with Whitney and Sara (the foreign exchange student staying with them right now). I hadn't been to a movie in YEARS. We saw Bride Wars. Not a fantastic movie, but I liked it.


We made it through the week of work and games and then had another weekend to spend together. I had to referee at a little kids tournament Saturday morning. It was fun to see the young kids play and as always, it gave me more appreciation for the refs. You couldn't pay me enough to do that job. Saturday night we had another varsity game. It was an emotional game for several reasons and it felt REALLY good to win.


While I was at the game Chris was drinking beer with some friends. I got home and we ordered pizza and had a game night. We had a LOT of fun. We played Cranium again and Apples to Apples. It was really nice to just spend some time with Karla & Brandon and Dan & Andrea. We get some busy with life sometimes that we forget to enjoy the simple things.


The only downside to last night was that I have felt like crap ALL DAY. I'm getting too old for this stuff! Chris did lots of laundry and other housework today while I haven't gotten much of anything done. I did manage to get my laundry put away....which is a MAJOR accomplishment for me. Now I just have to give Kaden his bath and get him to bed. Then maybe correct papers???? We'll see....

- This picture is of him sweeping the floor. He loves to do it!



- He apparently also watched me drink the milk out of my cereal bowl and last Saturday morning he drank the milk out of his bowl. I hadn't even done that to mine yet. He spilled a little...but it was so funny to see him do that out of nowhere.

- The top picture is Kaden helping Daddy unload the beer into the fridge. He enjoys this task and helps with it frequently.
