S*(% Kaden Says

This kid makes me laugh.  He has such a hunger to know and understand things, but sometimes he won't let go of whatever idea he has and accept the truth.  He loves to ask me questions and then tell me that I am wrong.

Since he found out about the baby, he's had some good ones.   We told him that he was going to be a big brother again and that Connor gets to be a big brother too.

Kaden:  Yeah, but we need to wait until Connor gets older

Me:  No, Kaden.  There is baby in Mommy's tummy right now

Kaden:  ALREADY?

Kaden's teacher shared this one.

Kaden:  We're getting another baby at our house.

Teacher:  Oh really?

Kaden:  Yeah.  I don't know why, we already got one.

Talking about Parent Teacher Conferences

Me:  What's Mrs. Payne going to tell us?

Kaden:  She's going to tell you every time I have to flip a card.  She keeps track of us.  

Me:  Is she going to tell us that you talk too much?

Kaden:  Mom, last year in preschool, I was a psycho.  I'm trying to get better, but I'm still not.

Talking to daddy before bed. 

Kaden:  Mr. Butthole taught us a new game today.

Chris:  Mr. Butthole?  

Kaden:  Yeah, Mr. Butthole.  He helps Ms. Z teach PE.

Me:  (from the other room)  Wait - a minute.  That's not his name.  I saw his name tag today.  It's Mr. Bucholz.
