Kaden's First Day of Preschool.
(He refused to take a picture at home this year.)
*6:45 a.m.- Fights waking up. Gets crabby with Mommy when she tries to make him go potty, get dressed, and brush his teeth.
*7:15a.m.- "Cuddles" and and generally annoys his little brother while Mommy takes the dog out and starts the car. Usually refuses to put on his coat because he is "too tired" or "hugging my brother."
*7:40 a.m.- Arrives at Mommy's school. Until the end of October, Mommy left Kaden with the other kids waiting for the bus and went upstairs to her room. At the end of October Mommy and Kaden switched schools. (The high school moved into the old middle school and new addition and the preschool moved to the old high school.) Now, Kaden waits in Mommy's room until Sidney (another teacher's kid that rides the bus to Aurelia) picks him up to get on the bus. Gives Mommy and kiss and a hug, and gets on bus 2. Bus 2 drops him off at his school. He puts his backpack and coat in his locker and starts his day
*8:00a.m.-3:00p.m.- Sings, dances, writes, listens, plays, learns letters and numbers, tells stories, makes things, cuts, glues, colors, etc.
*3:00p.m.- Gets on the bus to ride back to Mommy's school. Gets off the bus with the after school program kids. When he gets in the building he walks by himself to Mommy's room. Peeks in the window, opens the door, takes off his backpack, hat, gloves, and coat and throws them on the floor in a path to Mommy's desk. Then he either writes on the board, writes on and cuts scratch paper, or plays games on Mommy's computer until it is time to go home.
*4:00p.m.- Races Mommy down the hall on the way to the car. We pick up Connor and usually head home. Sometimes we run errands.
*4:30p.m.- Plays. The latest obsession is Wii games. He asks to play everyday, but Mommy only lets him a couple of times a week. He loves Mario Cart.
6:00p.m.- Starts to get hungry. Starts rummaging in the cupboards finding things to eat while Mommy works on supper. Tries to find things to watch on TV. He knows his favorite shows (Gold Rush, Mythbusters) are on channel 43. Uses the remote to see what is on channel 43. We have the TV on, but we mostly play all night and stop to watch it occasionally. We have enjoyed the 25 Days of Christmas on ABC Family though.
***I'm not willing to admit the time on the rest of the evenings activities. We do not get these things done in a timely fashion like we should. I am willing to admit that I suck in the area of getting my kids to bed on time, but I'm not willing to share the exact times. It all goes back to when I first started back to work after I had Kaden. I hated only getting to see him for like 4 hours before he went to bed, so I let him stay up to we could spend time together. Anway...this is what the rest of Kaden's evening is like.***
Eats supper. Usually doesn't eat as much as he should. Every other night we do baths. Plays and splashes with his brother in the tub. Doesn't want to get out until the water gets cold, and then he wants out NOW. Puts on pajamas and a Pull Up. We usually wake up with a dry Pull Up, but we still wear them because Mommy doesn't like to have to change sheets in the middle of the night. Cuddles with Mommy and eventually goes to sleep.
And now some photos. This is the result of me trying to get some decent pictures of Kaden this fall and him being a poop. I think these pictures show his personality quite well.
