Random Thoughts

UPDATE: I wrote this a couple of weeks ago. I never posted it, because I was going to finish it. Then I realized that then it wouldn't be random. So, here you go.

I've seen those blog posts where people post 25 random things about themselves. This follows along this idea, but I can't promise 25. After all, if I promise and get to 25, it's not all that random, is it?

1. Kaden and I worked hard tonight. We tore the carpet out of his room and put in his new rug. We bought this rug at Wal-Mart during Easter break in April. Tonight when we started working, Kaden kept saying "I -cited" (I'm excited). When we finally got it all torn out and out side, we went down to get the rug off the front porch. Kaden said "You and me buyed that at Wal-Mart." We hadn't discussed that. His memory is that scary.

2. Speaking of Kaden's scary memory.... At the beginning of Chris' golf league season, Kaden and I went to Scooters for supper while he golfed. This was the end of April or the beginning of May. We ordered, and then noticed that our table was really wobbly, so we moved to a different table. Last Thursday Kaden and I went to Scooters for supper again. We walked in and I asked Kaden where he wanted to sit. He walks to a table, puts his hands on the corner and pushes on it. He says "This one not shake." It took me a little bit to even figure out what he was talking about. I had forgotten, but he hadn't.

3. I have a small obsession with Suddenly Salad. The cesar kind. I am, however, highly disappointed that they changed the packaging. The croutons now come with the seasoning packet. This means as soon as you mix up the sauce, the croutons start to get soggy. How sad.

4. I have also recently been sharing "ancient chinese secret" with Kaden. The best way to eat E.L. Fudge cookies is frozen. Try it if you doubt me.

5. Kaden went racing last night. I had my first swim meet and Kenny Wallace was in town with the USMTS show. Chris missed this race 2 years ago because I had a swim meet and Kaden was too young to go. I suggested they go. I think we definitely have a new race fan. He loved it.
