This just in......The Browns ARE still alive :)

As my sister so lovingly pointed out in a facebook post about a month ago, I haven't posted since Valentine's day.  Wow....I'm a failure.  OH well, spring is about everything getting new life, right?

Here's a quick rundown with some pics of what the last 6 weeks has consisted of for us.

In February, Alta looked like this:

Chris is standing on the sidewalk and Kaden is standing on the snow next to him. That's how much snow we had.  It was like walking in a tunnel to get to the driveway in the morning.

Needless to say we had lots of snow.

Mom, Dad, and Whitney came up one Sunday afternoon, just so Dad could get away from the snow that he was responsible for.  While they were here, Kaden did this.

He originally laid down on the kitchen floor with no pillow or blanket and fell asleep.  I offered to take him up to his room, but he refused.  So I offered him a pillow and blanket.  He slept there for almost 2 hours.  This was the beginning of a LONG couple of weeks.  Kaden was not our little Kaden.  He was the crabbiest, unhappiest, hardest to please child I've ever met.....We'll get back to that later.

Back to the snow.... It started to melt a LITTLE at the beginning of March.  We headed to Omaha for a "girls weekend" with my mom, sisters, and aunt.  We were very jealous of the little snow that Omaha had, and they were all still complaining!

Kaden played with his socks to occupy his time on the way to Omaha.  (Yes, those were on his feet inside his boots when we left the house).

We went shopping, swam at the pool at the hotel, had pizza at the hotel, slept at the hotel.  Chris and Kaden tagged along for everything but the sleeping.  They slept at Jodi's.

We met up with Chris, Kaden, and JD before we left town that day and had breakfast.  At that point the tylenol/ibuprofen rotation we had been using for 2 weeks to keep Kaden's fever down quit working.  He had been to the doctor the previous 2 Mondays, but they said he was fine.  We made the executive decision to take him to urgent care in Omaha before we left instead waiting and ending up having to go to the ER when we got home.  Off we went, and left with a diagnosis of an ear infection.  Our theory was that he must have had an inner ear infection the whole time and they doctors just couldn't see it.  It finally got bad enough that they could find it.  A trip to Target pharmacy and a few doses of medicine later, our little boy finally returned.

Well, that gets us to the beginning of March.  More adventures yet to come....but I can't tell you all of it in one night or I won't have anything for the next post....hopefully sooner than 6 weeks from now.
