This and that.....

Some random updates from our life.

1.  We are camera-less.  Thus, I have no pictures to post.  Our good camera mysteriously got a broken screen.  I think maybe the 2 year old tornado got to it. Not for sure how it happened, but we sent it off to get fixed.  We were using out old one, but we left it in Omaha when we were there for Christmas.  So, we hve no camera.

2.  Since Christmas, we have had 4 snow days.  That means we get out four days later in May.  That means shorter summer.  That means lots of snow and, this time, ice to shovel.  In an attempt to stop being such a pessimist, I'll look at the good things from these 4 snow days.  It means 4 days off work.  It means 4 days of staying home, playing cars, and watching movies with Kaden.  It means I finally got the Christmas tree on the porch taken down.  It means fewer days of having to dress up :)

3.  We went out with my high school friends in Des Moines last weekend.  It was insanely fun, and quite expensive.  I'm still not sure Chris is over the sticker shock.  Blue Moon Piano Bar in West Des Moines took a lot of our money. I highly recommend the place.

4.  The Fortes' are playing in May in Atlantic.  May 8th.  Because of this, Chris used our trip to Des Moines to squeeze in a practice with Dan last Sunday.

5.  Because of said practice session last Sunday, I wandered around Target for an hour and a half.  By myself.  It was heaven.

6.  The current movie of choice is Madagascar.  Kaden got Madagascar 2 for Christmas.  He liked it.  I bought the original Madagascar movie for him during my Target experience.  We've watched it 13 times since then.

7.  We bought a new dishwasher.  It makes me happy.  Old habits die hard, though.  I still feel like I have to wash every dish before I put it in.
