Update!

It's been awhile again.....I'm not always the greatest at updating, but I haven't given up yet! I know it's supposed to snow tomorrow, but we've really been enjoying the early glimpses of spring. Kaden likes his swing set, especially the big boy swing. He helped us clean gutters and rake leaves 2 weeks ago. You can see him climbing up the ladder to help Daddy. Good thing he can only make it to the 2nd rung so far!

Now for this edition of Things Kaden Does......

- There is a Hefty commercial on tv that says "Stinky, stinky, stinky". The first time that commercial came on, I said that to Kaden. Now every time he hears that commerical he says "stinky stinky stinky"

- When somethings happens Kaden says "oh no". You really have to hear his tone of voice and the way he says it to truly appreciate it.

-"here ya go" We probably hear this 20 times a day. "Here ya go mommy" "here ya go dad" When he says it you might get a paint chip, a cookie, your keys, or a tv remote. Depends on what he finds :)

- Whenever Kaden is trying to get up on or down off a chair or wants to walk down a stair instead of sitting down, he puts his hand in the air and says "hand." This means he wants to hold your hand to steady him or help him down.

- As you can see from the picture, Kaden enjoys his swing set. He can swing on the big boy swing, and he loves the slide. Every time we go out, the first time down the slide he wants my hand. After that he'll do it all by himself.

- He continues to always "help" around the house. He is really good at putting stuff away out of the dishwasher....that's about it. He likes to help me actually wash dishes, but this is way more of a mess than a help. He is definitely NOT helpful with folding laundry, but if you hand him stuff he'll move clothes from the washer to the dryer.

- Another one you can see from the picture is that he is learning to like cheese dip as much as his dad. Even if he has just finished lunch he will still hover around while you are eating and he has to have some.

- Kaden will finally say his name. Now when he sees himself in the mirror he says "Kaden" instead of "Baby". Every once in awhile if you ask "What's your name?" He'll actually answer correctly.

- If Kaden bumps his head (which he does a lot) he says "I bump my head." Again, you have to hear his voice to truly appreciate it as he says head really funny.

- Anytime he hurts something Mommy or Daddy has to kiss it. He doesn't ask, he just holds his finger in front of your face or puts his head up to your lips.

- I was pouring Kaden a class of carbonated flavored water, and he had been walking around with the bottle and it was kind of shaken up. I opened it and it went everywhere. "oh no" kaden says. Then he says "I get it" and he grabs the towel off of the stove handle and wipes it up. Kind of a neat freak..... (He is now out in the kitchen saying "mommy made a mess")

Friday night we went to the Spring Fling at the golf course. It's a chance to catch up with people and pay your membership. We took Kaden with us, thinking we wouldn't stay long. He is a TOTAL social butterfly. Once we had taken him around and kind of introduced him to some people, he just kept going between tables and talking to people. The kid really isn't afraid of much of anyone.

Things are going to get crazy soon. Track meets start April 7, and we get 12 meets in before May 12th. I'll be gone a lot, so Kaden and Chris will have lots of bonding time again. We have 5 dances to DJ in the next 2 months. I am finishing up my Firefighter 1 class. We have 5 or 6 classes between now and April 30th. We need to get the dock in up at the lake so the guy can put the hoists in. We have to "summerize" 3 boats and clean our own. Not to mention working full time and doing fire department stuff. And oh yeah- we're awaiting the arrival of our 2 new neices sometime in May (hopfully) and that will probably involve a trip to Omaha when they arrive. Before we know it, it's going to be Memorial Day and we will be enjoying lake life. But, just in case I don't blog for awhile- you can figure out why :)
